Georgetown traditions?

Does Georgetown have any peculiar traditions?

There is one that says everyone has to go swimming in the fountain near a small chapel before you graduate. I’m not sure what the chapel is called, or where the fountain is…I just know where it is on the campus. Also, there was an old tradition of stealing the minute and hour hand on the clock tower, but I’m pretty sure that’s banned now.

before graduation every single student is suppose to “play” in the fountain near the chapel. The hands of the clock would be taken off every now and then (every 2 - 3 years or so) and then sent to the Pope to be blessed. There is a seal that is outside the older large building behind the statue of john carrol..if you are a student applying it is said you wont make it in if you step on it, and if you are a current student you wont graduate in 4 years. There is also suppose to be a floor under the bell (same building with the seal outside and directly behind john carrol statue), this floor is suppose to have a bunch of other myths (apparations etc…). On the same note, the exorcist (sp?) was filmed on the campus.

thats all i can remember being told atm..(having toured campus a couple weeks ago.)

I heard one that students try to sit in the lap of the John Carroll statue before they graduate.
