Georgetown Transfer Chances

Hi Everyone-
I am currently a freshman at NYU in the General Studies Program (GSP). I have a 3.8 GPA, am an America Reads tutor (18 hours/Week), and am involved with both the college Democrats and the debate team. I graduated in the top 7%(90.4 unweighted, 100.00 weighted GPA) of my class of 300 students, SAT on the old system of 1280. I also completed 8 major political internships from the age of thirteen on, as well as being heavily involved in extra-curriculars in high school. I applied to GU in the regular decision period early this year. I was wait listed and then put on the extended waiting list. Now I am interested in transferring. Does anyone have any honest opinions about my chances? I would really appreciate it as I am apprehensive about what type of a stand I have in the process. I have heard mixed opinions about whether my extended wait-listing last year increases my chances this year or not?

Thank You-Every piece of feedback is hugely appreciated!!

Schools the caliber of GU can be tougher to get in as a transfer than frosh. Your chances might have improved a little b/c you did well at NYU and your applying as a transfer to a school that waitlisted you which shows how much you really want to attend (so your extended waitlist does help). If you don't get in are you staying in NY or trying to transfer elsewhere?

I am also applying to Boston College in Boston, where I was also wait listed as a frosh applicant. I would also appreciate my chances there??
