I emailed and told this lady that I needed to send money to Cornell, so I was wondering if I could get a tentative decision. here's what I got back:
Hi Brad, I'm happy to tell you it looks VERY likely that you will be offered admission. :)

Yes, she added a smiley. What do you all think?

brad-
looks like you will get in to me! i'm pretty much celebrating with my "likely to be offered admission" email that was sans smiley face, and yours seems even more positive than mine, so i think you should expect to hear good news.

info for everyone else out there waiting to here....got my letter today and it said there were 200 spots and over 1600 applicants. Also, from the looks of it, they sent out decisions to extended wait listed people last yr first, and then wait list (that was me) and then all others...So don't worry, especially if you didn't apply last year. Oh, and I never got offered an interview this yr either.

Jtrowing, so...did u get accepted??? and what do u mean 200 spots and 1600 apps? Can u clear that up a little more please. What school did u apply to?

"The Admissions Committees considered nearly 1,600 transfer candidates for approximately 200 spaces." Thats a direct quote from the letter, I assume its for all of the schools. And yes I got accepted to the College as a Political Economy major, and I decided today to go...

I hope I got in with my smiley faced email...I applied to the college of arts and sciences with a tentative major in history or medieval studies. btw 200 spots means 200 spots for matriculation...that means way more students will be admitted since not everyone enrolls. dont worry everybody.

Yeh, I knew that more people would be admitted, since the admit rate is around 25%, expect that around 450-500 applicants to get ACCEPTED and about 200-220 to ENROLL. All we can do is hope for the best!

Judging by the previous year's stats, around 60% of accepted Gtown transfers end up enrolling. Very high numbers. The total number of accepted students is likely to be under 400:

2005 DATA (latest ava.)
1447 applicants
410 accepted
238 enrolled

It seems that plenty of people who applied to the College have received letters but what about MSB? Has anyone, who applied to the MSB, received a decision yet?

guys, I got a question: Georgetown is my last resort, so it's really important to me. If they offered me an interview, was it a good sign or a bad sign or it doesn't matter at all?
