It will go to the address you gave them maybe? I hope they don't wait until June because I have a feeling some schools will ask for deposits before then.

Same here. And common sense does tell me that they should send it to our school addresses, since the app did ask for the school address and the date until when it will be valid.

I just gave them my home address to avoid any conflict similar to those mentioned in last year's decisions thread.

Ahh I can't wait for decisions! I just want to know where I'll be next year.. I'm sick of having to make plans at my current university and being like "well, if I'm here next year..."

Same, fortunately I heard from one school so I don't have to register for classes, go through the housing lottery, etc.

In the fall I found information online regarding transfering in January to Gtown. I cannot find that information now. Have they discontinued that program?

I'm pretty sure GU never accepted spring transfers.

I called today to see if I could send in a supplemental letter still detailing some circumstances, the lady said that they had just started looking at transfer applications and told me it would be fine if I sent something in today. However, she did give me the fax number so maybe that means I need to hurry up? haha just thought I'd let yall know :)

I had my interview today.. and it was great! Everything was smooth..

heres a semi-update: I contacted a lady in transfer admissions because I have a deposit due on May 9 at GWU, so I asked Georgetown if I would know before then. she told me to contact her around May 1 and she would try to tell me how the committee was leaning.. so it doesn't appear that we will be hearing until May

pinkdillo, im in the same boat as you, did you contact GW to see if they could extend the deadline for a few days so that we could find out about Georgetown?

i know interviewers are allowed to ask what other schools im applying to, and i listed them...but are they allowed to ask what school I would pick if i got into all of them tomorrow?

I'm only asking because I gave a precautionary, "it depends on the situation" answer and she seemed upset that I wouldn't humor her...

What do you guys think?

macsheesh... It's obvious that interviewers want to hear from you that you have a strong desire to come to Georgetown ...

They won't ask you that type of quesiton if you show them how much you want to transfer to Georgetown.. (they never asked that question with my interview) plus if they ask you just say that you applied to Georgetown only

But don't worry about it.. You are a strong transfer candidate (I saw your stats)

Are you a sophomore transfer or junior transfer and how many credits do you have it now?

After applying as a transfer I never got a letter for an interview, but they are looking at my financial records, due to my application for financial aid. GW turned me down, and never bothered to look at my financial records. Should I read much into those two things?

what are your stats mattsf?

Applying to the college with
3.77 GPA
A bunch of extracurriculers, including student government and Honors Society
A bunch of honors projects
I'm also positive I got a great essay, dean's report and professor's report.
I'm also 27, so I was hoping my age might help, for diversity purposes.

Did they give you an email or a call matt?

I also never got a call or email about an interview...

I've submitted everything on time, and have never heard a thing (email, letter, call, etc.) from Georgetown. I literally have gotten nothing from them. I called them to ask if my application was complete, and they couldn't (refused to) even confirm that for me... The lady just said she could confirm that they received my Data Form (or whatever it is called, the first part of the application).

What's the deal? Should I try calling them again?

My Stats: 3.91 GPA, 58 Credits (after this semester), 1180 SAT, applying to McDonough...

I got an e-mail from college board saying they needed more information. When I went on-line to see what they wanted it said that Georgetown University was requesting more information such as tax return. Funny, since I never heard from them. They're website says that due to a lot of mail they won't even get back to me till decision time. Weird?

Yep Matt I have to agree that's pretty weird! Maybe that means they will send a financial aid letter with our acceptances then, that would be nice... GWU has yet to send me anything and their deadline is May 9 for me.. ugggg! I'm sorry that they wont confirm anything TheProfessor.. that sucks. Hopefully you'll get good news in a few weeks.
