@trakke
if tomorrow still just few decisions release or even no decision turns out, as you said nothing is followed as previous trend. Well… we will see…

Thanks @significantlevel…I’d like to think there’s some sort of trend but I’ll guess we’ll just have to wait (some more) and see. At this point I don’t even know why I’m getting all hyped up, pretty sure I’ll get rejected. I JUST WANT TO KNOW.

This is so hard. For some reason I refresh my inbox until around 3 AM and then go to sleep lol

Hey, guys! I received my acceptance letter about an hour ago (7:19 pm EST, to be exact) through email! I’m beyond excited and hope the financial aid will be generous! I was wait-listed last year to the SFS and eventually rejected, but it turned out to be for the best because I decided to change my major to math. Best of luck to you all, and I have included my stats below:

Institution: William & Mary and another institution–my GPA is split
Applying as: Sophomore, Math major
College GPA: 3.94, sent in all As for mid-term report.
SATs: 2250 SAT I - 680 CR, 780 M, 790 W 12 Essay; 770 Math II, 710 U.S. History

Not trying to be a total creep, but I remember you from last year’s thread!! Congrats!

I’m so scared! They are accepting so many previously waitlisted students; I wonder how many spaces will be open for those of us who don’t have that specific hook…

Yeah I don’t know what’s going on, it feels like they’ve only accepted previously WL students so far, and I don’t know if that means there are a ton less spots for us, or how we are gonna fair with that. The only thing we can hope for is that we are in some “first round” where they are only accepting auto-admit students still and the regular applicants aren’t even judged yet. This waiting is horrible…

congrats Hopestobeahoya! i remember you from last year’s thread too! xP 2nd time’s a charm huh! :)

@significantlevel I’m pretty confident that I’m going to get into GWU, but Georgetown is ranked slightly higher for government/politics. Both schools definitely offer great opportunities though, so I’d be happy attending either.

when is gwu releasing their decisions?

I saw that someone emailed the undergraduate admissions office to check on the status of their application- would you post the email address we should contact? I just want to make sure all my materials were received…

@abercam - it depends on the school, so if you are SFS, there is a different email than someone for the College, etc. You just need to call up and say you need an early read and tell them why, then they will give you an email to email proof to for the early read. Good luck!

Hi all,
I got an email today at 6:17pm letting me know that I was accepted to the college for Biology. I was wait listed off of the regular decision pool last year.
Congrats to everyone who got in and good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard back yet! Good news is coming your way, I’m sure :)

Just finished my first final today, with an 100% in Pre-Cal. This is the best I can do for them, since my GPA will be seriously dragged down by the coming two exams… No news so far.

Congratulations to those who got accepted already! your hard working finally is recognized.

@esthetique - Government is actually the program I applied to, some of the other schools call it “politics” or “political science,” but it’s the same thing.

Let’s hope today bring some good news for us!

Hmm…alright. So there’s no general email we can contact just so we can confirm that all of our materials are in?

@abercam I asked the same question when I called and was told that “No news is good news” at Georgetown with regards to missing materials. In other words, if you haven’t received an email saying you are missing materials, you are fine

okay, thanks. i guess i’m just trying to come up with reasons why i might not have heard yet…besides rejection…!!!
