Georgetown Transfer

I am currently a political science major at the University of Oregon. I am on pace to graduate next year (which would be 3 years from high school graduation) with honors. I am starting an honors thesis in the fall. However, I am thinking about trying to transfer to Georgetown because the career opportunities are much better coming out of GT compared to UO. I really have no idea what my chances are though. My high school was horrible because of many home problems. I graduated (barely) with a 1.7 GPA. That being said, I came to UO and excelled. I have a 3.6 GPA and have great connections with various professors. I would be 16 trimester credits away from graduation if I transferred to GT. Should I apply?

High School- 1.7
ACT- 25 (I believe I could get over a 30 today)
UO- 3.6
Will graduate a year early with honors
Currently have an internship with an Oregon congressman

Let’s just say, Georgetown rejects people with MUCH higher high school GPA’s and test scores, MUCH higher college GPA’s, and MUCH better extracurriculars in droves.

Suggestions on how to increase my chances?

bump bump bump
