Georgetown Univ. Transfers?????

well, no, I am not transferring for that reason alone. The main reasons are that the resources for my major (chem) get passed almost entirely to grad students, and the teachers don’t care about undergraduates. And what makes you think I am applying to Ivy League schools? I am only applying to Brown and Dartmouth of all of the ivies, the rest (3 others) are LACs. I fully accept that there will be such kids at all of the schools to which I applied.

haha ballstein was that a guess at my town?

I want the atmosphere at Georgetown as well because that is what I am accustomed to. I just want to go to Georgetown period. There is a transfer thread in the Gtown section btw. I hope we hear very soon.

I just want Georgetown for SFS. Can’t find it over here on the West coast… Plus GT has financial aid to offer.

My father just called me from home saying I got accepted to Georgetown as a transfer… so obviously the June 1st date is wrong

weehoo! Congrats! They are being nice by letting students kno early=)

Hey thanks, congratulations! Will you please post stats?

Work as summer tennis camp counselor at my high school

Born in Germany, fluent German

We do have many wealthy students at Georgetown.
But NO, they’re not snobby as people often mistake Georgetown students to be.
I find Gtown to be a wonderful school, a small school for a university and not a LAC, a tight, close-knit society of students from all over the country and the world…
I’m an international student at Gtown, and I’m not particularly wealthy nor poor, and I had absolutely no problems/difficulties at Gtown.
Gtown students are really intelligent and nice, and the school is just wonderful. I absolutely love it here.
Congrats to those of you accepted to Gtown as transfers! Welcome  You’ll love it here!

hey thanks, did u by chance get a financial aid letter with that? hhehe. I am choosing schools now with financial aid being my #2 factor =P

Na, didn’t apply for it. We’re not RICH but we’re well enough off. I got a $24,000/year scholarship at Miami, so those $72,000 we’d lose might come into play… but probably not.
