I know Georgetown highly recommends submitting 3 SAT IIs…and they say it doesn’t put you at a disadvantage if you don’t. Does it though? I would assume so…What are your experiences?
If they say they want 3, most would send 3. If you can’t but everything else is what they are looking for, then you probalby can get by.
@preppedparent I just feel like everyone that is admitted has 780+…then again I’ve seen many student with 600s scores and even 590…i think i’m just paranoid and nervous haha
I heard an Ivy admission officer say that his school recommends but doesn’t require SAT II tests to put low income students (who can’t afford all the testing) and students who live in remote areas (where testing is not readily available) on a level playing field. If you are not in either of these categories I suggest if at all possible that you have the 3 SAT II tests that are recommended.
I had 2 students admitted to G-town. One submitted 3 with one low SAT II and two high. The other submitted 2 SAT II scores only. (and wasn’t in those categories mentioned above)
It doesn’t put you at a high risk, but the problem is that there are many students who are very competative and who submit SATIIs so you must be on a higher position compared to them.It does matter that much. Trust me. Go to youtube and see solomon admissions videos.
@preppedparent Thank you for sharing that! How low (if you don’'t mind)
@Elionnahom True…Thanks!
