@takacatboy I’m confused…did you apply to Georgetown again? If so, good luck(:
@justliviglife I did… last year I decided to take a gap year and reapply to schools. I did ED to Columbia (hear back on Thursday) and EA to UChicago and MIT. Assuming I’m rejected/deferred/waitlisted at Columbia and UChicago, I’ll probably do GU RD.
@takacatboy Well good luck!!! I really hope you end up somewhere that you love
@maddyduv @justliviglife I’m excited but super nervous that we hear back so soon!! What schools (within Georgetown) did you guys apply to?
@silverlemon College - planning to study government if accepted. I had a hard time choosing between SFS and the College because I was really drawn to potentially majoring in international politics, but I ultimately went with my gut and opted with the College(: What about you?
@justliviglife Yeah I definitely faced a similar choice between applying to the College vs. SFS. I went with the SFS ultimately because I picture myself working internationally. However I’m still really interested in the humanities so my intended concentration would be CULP since I’ve heard it’s the most flexible concentration within the SFS.

Really great interview
What are my chances of admittance?
Others: Colby (Legacy), Dartmouth (Legacy), Reed, Bowdoin, Pomona, Vassar, and W&M
@mvboy99 It depends on your weighted and rank. Your ACT is kind of low for Georgetown (but many applicants have gotten in with this score) and your ECs/leadership/awards are a little weak as well. It’d be easier to give an opinion if more information were provided.
Your SAT IIs are good!
Your educational program sounds really cool.
How do you think your essays and recs are?
I’m guessing you applied EA…you’ll find out in a few days anyway(:
Anyone apply to the business school?
guyssss the mails are probably gone by nowwww its the 13th ; i cant wait to get my decision best of luck to all you wonderful people
@silverlemon @justliviglife I applied to the college, hoping to major in government too!! I was also debating between the SFS and the college but ultimately decided that my ECs don’t revolve around enough around IR/politics. Best of luck to you guys!
can someone please tell me what happens if you get deferred, but didn’t take subject tests? So, would I not be able to apply for regular decision because they don’t give subject tests past January…
Does anyone know if you apply to SFS (or any specific college) when they’re going over your application, if you don’t get into that school, do they review you again as an applicant to the College? Sorry, that sounds pretty confusing. My counselor told me that if I applied to SFS and didn’t get in, I could still be eligible for admission to the College, but I’m not sure if that’s right.
Does anyone know if Georgetown mailed out the letters yet??
@ameliajmurphy I applied to SFS and the admissions office called one of my recommenders last week to ask for more info about me so it’s safe to say they already finished reviewing all applications. They for sure started at least two weeks ago, though.
So if I live in Texas, should I expect to receive a letter on Friday or after that?
Does anyone know when international applicants will be hearing back? From what I know, we will be sent an email - will this be on the 15th? If so, at what time?
Ahhhhh I’m so nervous!
Do you think people in Maryland/DC area got them today or tomorrow?
Your application would be reviewed again in the RD round. Not having subject tests will put you at a disadvantage when comparing your app to others’, BUUUT they are not required so you might still have a slight chance to be admitted! Never lose hope, admissions are quite unpredictable. Also, good luck in this EA round! If you get accepted now, you won’t have to worry about SAT II anymore
If anyone knows when Florida usually gets their letters, let me know, pleasseeeee.
