thanks ClaroQSi!!

I’m a nervous wreck. I guess I never thought that this day would come. I submitted my app and never really thought about the day my decision letter would come. I’m hoping mine comes tomorrow (Chicago…anyone think it actually WILL get here tomorrow? I don’t think my nerves can wait until Tuesday!)

And my UChicago decision is coming Tuesday! (I think. I hope.) If I have to wait until April 1 for my final decisions, I am going to be certifiably insane.

I highly doubt a 3.87 GPA will “kill” chances at admission. My UW GPA is around 3.8… (damn you AP Calculus!) my weighted is around 4.2 ish however. That should be in the range, right? Someone tell me if I’m wrong?

aleeroz,

I’m in chicago as well. I think we will get them tomorrow because some D.C. and Virginian people got theres the day GU sent them, so GU must have put them in the mail before 12pm friday. I dont think it will take more than two day’s processing to get to Chicago

and I am also waiting for UChicago Tuesday

hey colette!

griffonr and sprevite im in the same boat as you guys! it sucks!

Okay, so based on this thread, I have like a 3.7-3.8-3.9 who knows its really a 93/100 unweighted. I did poorly in my freshman year (some B+'s) then all A’s sophomore year and 1 B+ junior year (AP CHEM) and so far only 1 B senior year (AP physics). but the grades do demonstrate an upward trend. do you think that kind of gpa is acceptable?

so i have work from 3-5, and i cant decide whether or not to stop home before work to get my letter… im very impatient but this could result in me being really upset at work… hmmm what to doo

Just check it. There’s no harm.

I hope it reaches Iowa tomorrow…

Hi, representing south/central IL here…obviously I’ve not heard anything yet but I think Monday or Tuesday that letter will get to my house. Unfortunately I go to boarding school upstate and won’t be home until Wednesday night, and I have a final exam that day so I’m thinking I don’t want to know what the letter says until after that’s over!

Everyone’s stats make me so nervous…I didn’t submit SAT IIs. SAT 2250 and AC 34, but my school doesn’t do GPAs…good luck everyone who didn’t hear yet!

I’m wondering if the mail will reach NY early in the morning, so perhaps the post office would have it around 8 AM

illinoisgirl324, your tests sound fine to me… there havent been a lot of people on here posting 2300s+

The anticipation is literally killing me.

ha i have no chance:(.
too bad, it was my top choice.

Sprevite, you have just as much of a chance as the rest of us have!

sprevite, there’s a reason i’m not posting my stats - my test scores are fine but my gpa is definitely lower. there is a reason they have midranges for sats and whatnot - not everyone accepted has a 2400. :]

I’m thinking deferral to get my mind off of it, it’s my top choice too so I’m realllllly hoping for the best. Anyway, to pass the time, where did everyone apply?

I applied as a Linguistics major to the FLL (College)
Hispanic male from NY public school
SAT 1410 (740 CR, 670 M)
GPA of 94 uw (roughly a 4.0 uw i guess?)
Good leadership and I studied abroad for 2 summers

But this wait is killing me!

I applied as an English major to the college
white female from NY public school
SAT 1500
GPA 96.88

ahha thanks you guys. i keep trying to tell myself test scores aren’t everything, that numbers aren’t everything, but CC is freaking me out:(. bah.
