<p>no go read the website. it says they understand you may not be able to get them by the EA deadline so they will look at your application as complete if you do not have them</p>

<p>My name is Kevin. I’ve been on here, never really wanted to join, but I applied early action and I live in MD (just north of DC) and I am waiting for that letter too. (DC to MD is one night via USPS first class) So nervous!</p>

<p>Today my counselor pulled me out of 6th period (we have 7 total) to tell me that GU had called her to tell her they had not received my teacher recommendation. Not only that but they had been trying to call her all day but she had been out of the office earlier, and that they needed it soon, like within the hour. So I had to go to my teacher in between 6th and 7th to ask him to write my recommendation again so I could give it to the counselor to fax. Luckily, and probably obvious since he is recommending me, he likes me and was willing to do it again for him. Again luckily he had an off period 7th so he got it done and to the counselor before the school ended. Hopefully this will not affect my chances since my GC told me colleges generally keep in mind these things can get lost in the mail. All in all I was like 10 minutes late to 7th but it was definitely worth it. It really bothers me that their decisions are supposed to be done by Friday and the Admissions Committee was probably like where the heck is this kid’s recommendation when they came to it. I’ll take this positively though and pretend that their frantic calling to get my recommendation letter was a sign that maybe they actually want me. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see until Monday.</p>

<p>I am from the midwest so I keep hearing I will get a letter on 15th. That’s the day I’ve been counting down till so hopefully that will be the day i get it.</p>

<p>Files were done this past Friday (at least by committee), there is a chance some stragglers are out there, but 99% of files were read already by committee.</p>
