I don’t think I can spend another year in Delaware, not sure what I’ll do if I can’t get in this round.
Hey,guys.I’ve been lurking in this forum for a long time.just got into SFS.I was kinda embarrassed to join since I didn’t think I am competitive enough.but hey, very lucky that I got accepted
I’m really sorry for those who didn’t make it .I know the feeling because JHU denied me this past Friday.so,please, don’t lose hope.
@rowan66 I just looked on past forums and that is what the letter has said each year, despite them accepting more people. I think that number is more of a formality then anything. I’m going to keep holding out hope until I know for sure. I can’t help it haha
@luckyvet85 did you get your acceptance just now?
At 3:16p.m eastern.
@luckyvet85 congrats! Do you mind posting your stats?
@luckyvet85 Congratulations!!!
@luckyvet85 congratulations! What program did you apply to?
@luckyvet85 Congrats!!! Amazing news!
Thanks ,guys.I really appreciate it. I attended Anne Arundel community college.did some CLEPS and online classes whenever military allowed me.Like I said before compared all of yours amazing stats, mine would just pale.but here it is:
GPA:4.0
I speak 3 languages and this is because I lived in those countries
I guess what gave me an advantage was my interview.he said and I quote "he has not given anybody 10 but he will do it for me.He was amazing guy so I guess I owe it to him more than anyone else.I got a lot of letters of recommendations .those might have helped but again honestly I did not have any hope after
Seeing your stats.
I’m truly sorry for who didn’t make it and congratulations who made it.For those who wait please don’t lose hope.they just started going through the applications.
@gtowntransfer16 I applied to SFS and majoring in international politics.
@luckyvet85 Congratulations again! I am happy for you and everyone who got in!
@gtowntransfer16 thanks ,buddy.
Yeah, definitely congratulations to everyone that got in! It’s a competitive process but I’m really happy to see all of your guys’ efforts pull through!
So, guys letter says that they are taking 150 out of over 2100 applicants.Also,SFS people told me they are taking around 20 people.So, that is all I have.
What happened this year? They usually have like 200+ students and a 14% acceptance rate according to their transfer student profile. Why now do they take less students and lower their acceptance rate? Every school can make space.
Guys that’s what I was saying earlier. Each year they say 150 students in the acceptance letter. Go to the transfer student profile on Georgetown’s website and you’ll see that they’ve accepted more each time
I am still waiting on my decision from the college and I am getting nervous with every day. How many do they usually accept for the college?
Same!
