SAT - 1980 (Last minute)
Letter of recommendation: Strong
Intended Major - Finance/Economics
Essays - Strong reasons for transferring (Family related), very specific individual essays.
Honors - Leadership Academy (80 chosen out of 7000 undergrads), Dean’s List, Honors Program.
Extra-Curriculars:
- Founder and CEO of a marketplace startup with 4 full-time and 4 part-time employees
- VP of Entrepreneurship Club
- Creator of a hydroponics community project to feed malnourished school children in drought-ridden areas.
- Shareholder - Student based investment fund
- 300+ Volunteer hours
- 2 internships in finance.
- Speak 4 languages fluently.
- 8 years of music production and 4 years of professional experience.

I don’t know if this will ease any of your worries, but I just called the admissions office and the person on the phone said they review applications based on location/regions and that they are currently still reviewing many of them, but that we will hear back by June 1st.

sorry if my question has already been answered, I haven’t followed the thread too closely… Have people started to hear back? What do the acceptance/rejection emails look like (sometimes the subject line will be different depending on the decision)? Are people reaching out to individuals at the university to find out?
@brianneo96 Yes, people have been hearing back since the beginning of May. Unsure what acceptance/rejection emails look like. People have reached out to individuals at the University for “expedited decisions” although these are not concrete decisions they are good indicators of outcome.

Alrighty, guess I will be the first to post news of a denial. I emailed my admissions officer (I had her info from when she contacted me to get some documents). She, of course, said “it is not certain” but we all know it is. I am just glad that I didn’t bank on GU. I applied and was accepted on a full ride to GWU so I am going to embrace that and be happy to be saving some serious money 
I wish the best to all those left waiting on an answer and just keep in mind that it will not be the end of the world if denied. GU is a great school but an education in itself is what really matters! We all work far too hard for our grades and extracurrics to lose sight of that! Good luck in your future endeavors whether they be at Georgetown or your “safety school” !!
