**Georgetown University Offical Transfer Thread 2008**

im still hoping for a miracle...but i already know that im getting rejected.

For those of you who haven't heard yet, I hope you guys hear good news pretty soon. For those of you have been accepted, I want you guys to know that I received a new student guide packet yesterday (Saturday). I live in Northern Virginia, and haven't sent the deposit yet. I guess they are sending packets anyway.

^ does the student guide have actual info we need (like scheduling, housing, move in info, etc.), or is it more of a "georgetown is amazing, you should come" kind of packet?

What's up Elgguj! I hope u r living it up @ gtown right nao, and yes perhaps I shall have to show you the exorcist steps.

I got the student guide last week and yeah, its basically saying Gtown is da best. It kinda just describes the housing and activities you can do at gtown.

^ hey! im back home....but gtown is amazing and im really excited for the fall. haha i still have no idea where the exorcist stairs are...and...ok this is bad, but i havent seen the exorcist (inexcusable, i know). so i guess i should see the exorcist first lol. still, very cool that it was filmed in gtown.

The packet is what we need for housing, new student orientation, immunization and other stuff.

FYI, The Exorcist was made by a gtown alum, and I have seen the stairs a long time ago. Nothing special, though. I heard Gtown screens the movie for Halloween

I have finally made a decision: I will not be attending the SFS in the fall. I am an international student, and thus, Georgetown did not give me any type of financial aid. Good luck to everyone who was accepted and will be attending G-town in the fall! I will be transferring to AU, so I am sure I will be taking two or three classes at G-town through the WDC Consortium.

I've been accepted as a Fall '08 transfer student. I'd be enrolling as a Junior, declaring my major in English Literature.

Big problem now - I've also been accepted to UC Berkeley and offered a full ride there.

Argh. What to do?

The quality of the English Literature instruction is my top priority, as I wish to pursue my dream of being a writer.

Rejected, it's good because now I don't have to make the "wrong" decision.

Today I was accepted as an Arabic major, but probably will not attend because of a scholarship for study abroad that can not be transferred.

Accepted- SFS. I wish they let me know sooner... then I wouldn't have changed my mind. Have a nice summer break everyone!

hey guys im new, but i got waitlisted & i was wondering if anyone else got waitlisted?

im still waiting.......... :'(

haha i got rejected. whatever i got into ucla...but i was wondering if i could call and ask why they rejected me..possible?

waitlisted :/

i'm not giving up that easy though. i'll just have to write a kicka** letter and send in my final grades (4.0).
hopefully it'll do the trick.

its finally june. how many people are still waiting????? should i call?

yea. call. they have no reason to be ****ed at you now.

pi-s-s-e-d automatically turns into ****? interesting.

just to clarify something stated earlier on this thread-

if you previous applied EA you won’t need to have another alumn interview? i applied EA but was rejected.im a legacy and i got a letter and my dad and my mom got letters encouraging me to apply as a transfer.is it safe to assume that they keep the files expecting me to apply for a transfer?
