Georgetown University Transfer 2019

@goldenhours me too! What major are you? And have you heard back about your credit evaluation?

@hopefulhoya19 Hey!! I have some info on that, private message me if possible. Iā€™m new to this site so I donā€™t know how to do it!

Did everyone that got accepted on May 3rd get a physical acceptance letter? I didnā€™t get mine yet so I wasnā€™t sure if it got lost or something haha.

is anyone still waiting on SFS?

Asked for an early read-

Dear SSAG,
Greetings from Georgetown-thank you for your message.
Admissions decisions for transfer applicants to the university are still being finalized. However, the Admissions Committee has indicated that you are likely to be offered a place on the waiting list here at Georgetown. An official decision letter will be sent to you in a few weeks time.
Best Wishes,
Kate Timlin

@SSAG how do you ask for an early read? I might need to

@SSAG Are you an international applicant? Also, stats & major would be nice.

@rish68

I emailed Kathryn Timlin at kjt4@georgetown.edu . Sheā€™s the associate director of admissions I believe, it was somewhere in the thread. When I emailed, I got an automated response saying she would be out of the office for the week. That was 9 days ago so make sure you time it correctly.

@patiecer

No I am a domestic applicant. I applied to Ling Lang. Here are my stats-

GPA: 3.93
1480 SAT
Biochem and German majors
Coming from Elon University so not a top school
HS: boarding school didnā€™t have GPA but had a 90 4 year average
Trilingual and captain of 3 varsity sports in HS
Donā€™t do much for extra circulars in college at all
Was denied from basically all my schools (11 of 13) as a HS senior including Northwestern so I applied again for my second round this year to try my luck again.
Accepted: Richmond, Case W, Northwestern, NYU
Denied: Cornell and Vassar
Waitlisted: Wesleyan and Gtown
Gonna put my deposit down at NU. Good luck to you all.

Anyone here got a financial aid award letter from Georgetown yet?

have any biochem or neurobiology or stem majors in general been accepted yet?

I am accepted to WashUā€¦Still hope on Georgetownā€¦as I love this school more.

Still waiting for SFS, that being said since itā€™s so late now Iā€™m expecting a rejection. But Iā€™m a GWU right now so Iā€™m not too upset! Side note Iā€™ve been to the university once but to the Georgetown area many times. If anyone has any quearions about DC Iā€™m glad to answer!

@SSAG Thank you so much for your detailed response! Also, itā€™s pretty interesting that they said ā€œa few weeks time.ā€ I guess we still have a lot of waiting to do :neutral:

@anatomygeek34 I do not think so. I also applied as biochem.

@lizardnaomi Iā€™m also waiting on SFSā€¦ (sigh)

I applied for neurobiology still havenā€™t heard a thing, I havenā€™t seen any science majors on the thread that have been accepted or heard anything at all yet. @anatomygeek34

@anatomygeek34 i applied for neurobiology and havnt heard anything

Government Major here. So sad to not have heard anything by now. :frowning: Congrats to all of you who made it!

If I havenā€™t heard anything by now is it relatively certain itā€™s a rejection? :((

Hi, everyone! I am also neurobiology and I have not heard anything yet either.
