Honestly, have faith. I don’t think there is a big difference of a 4.0 and 3.85. It’s not gonna make or break you. Stop being hard on yourself. This process is totally ridiculous!!!

Yeah! I am the Student Council president in my high school and starter of a literature club. If this is Georgetown’s appetite, then it would be great😂

I’m a current freshmen transferring in for my sophomore year
Major: sociology
GPA: 3.93 UW
ECs: Mock Trial Team, LGBTQ+ Alliance club, Legal Resources Club, 5th grade Instructional Assistant, Founder/ Member of the board of directors for a national nonprofit that’s partnered with GU
My highschool grades and SAT were not the best tbh so I’m hoping the progress from them to now will show my growth. What y’all think? I’m so nervous and might just be overthinking it.
The difference between a 4.0 and a 3.93 is negligible. And no one in this thread is in a position to provide an accurate assessment of ur chances but I’m sure ull have a decent shot regardless because of that gpa

Lol u ask this like every day. MSB always comes out at least 2 weeks after the first Georgetown decisions r released. Also have u heard back from Scheller yet since I assume u applied to the business school at GT too since that’s ur username
yeah haha just nervous to find out and nope, didn’t apply to Scheller. the gt in my username just stands for georgetown lol

Just thought I would share bc I know someone people were asking about financial aid packages.
I just received mine. The email ended up in my spam for some reason, so make sure to look in your spam if you haven’t received your financial aid email yet!

is anybody aware of the official notification date of June 1st on GU’s webpage? I noticed that many applicants have recieved their decisions. What does the official date stand for?

Acceptances typically come out prior to the final date, June 1st is the final deadline for them to send out decisions (more rejection-heavy at that point)

I’ve already seen a lot of people on here stating their acceptance. And with only 50 spots, I think the decisions have all been sent at this point.

Looking at last year’s thread, some students found out at the end of may that they were accepted. Not sure if this year will be the same, but it is a possibility. Also, GU advertises every year that they have 50-75 spots, but often accepts significantly more.
