that’s in two weeks, but I doubt it. it seems like they’re still reviewing apps.
so im currently in my first semester of my freshman year (took a gap year in the fall) and dont have a college GPA. is this going to affect my application in a negative way? My reasoning for the gap semester is unique so im not sure if itll matter?
THey would only b able to judge u based on ur high school accomplishments then
Anyone else applying to MSB ?
Yes, many people r
Anyone apply to the College for the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics majors?
Hey guys! I hope you’re all doing great. Excited to see where the next few weeks take us. Wanted to share something I just came across on the Transfer app website:
"While the Transfer Application deadline of March 1, 2021 has passed, the Transfer Application will remain accessible for prospective applicants who had difficulty meeting the deadline but who still wish to submit a late application. Late transfer applicants should complete this form as soon as possible, providing some detail on the extenuating circumstances resulting in a late application. Upon submission of the form, you will receive an email containing the application links and information about submitting all required documents (college/university and secondary school transcripts, Professor’s Report, Dean’s Report and standardized testing).
Please note it is expected that all late Transfer applicants do their best to complete the Transfer Application, the Transfer Application Supplement and provide all supporting documents within one week of starting the application. The work of the Transfer Admissions Committee will conclude in mid/late May 2021."
Does this mean they didn’t get a lot of applicants like they were hoping?
That’s so interesting. They certainly didn’t do that last year.
Yes sir.
Hi all! This is a bit random, but what is everyone’s reason for transfer? On my essay (and my reason for transfer) I wrote about how my school didn’t provide a sociology major, a subject that I wanted to explore more about.
I talked about how I wasn’t being challenged to develop not only as a student but as an individual and Georgetown’s Jesuit education would provide that
Does everyone on their CSS see the award date as May first? Does this indicate release dates?
yeah i saw that too, but i really don’t know what it means in terms of decisions
Who knows, but man that is strange. It is quite difficult to gauge if there will be more slots to fill this year (due to COVID-related factors), but this leads me to thinking there will be.
Let’s hope so!
I don’t think they didn’t get enough transfer applicants but what I hear is that Gtown is trying to be super inclusive so they don’t want to have potential students not apply b/c of extenuating circumstances.
CollegeBoard themselves says that the CSS award date is the approximate date so wouldn’t get too fixated on it…
If they were that inclusive you’d think they would have waved the sat/act requirement for freshmen like every other top school lol
