Georgetown University Transfer - Fall 2021

What are you trying to say? Lol I’m very confused by what you’re saying

I was just saying if accounting for extenuating circumstances was a priority you would think they would have waved the standardized testing requirement this year like many peer institutions did. Who knows why they extended the transfer deadline though.

Last year decisions started coming out around now… any idea if a wave will be coming this week?

I seriously doubt it. They extended the deadline to late march

It is rolling though, so I don’t see a reason why they wouldn’t release the first waves for people who applied before the first deadline. Last year first wave came out on a Tuesday, so maybe tomorrow?

Oh I didn’t realize that it was rolling. Where does it say that ?

is it only acceptances or rejections too?

I don’t know if Gtown explicitly says it’s rolling anywhere, but last year (and apparently the year before as well), decisions came out in waves starting mid-April until late May. At least from last year’s thread, it looks like they only release acceptances for the first few waves and then release all the rejections at the end (however it’s possible that people who were rejected early just didn’t want to post on cc).

yes, im sure many people applied to msb

oh I was asking here haha. is anyone applying to msb here? Also, I heard msb decisions come out later. correct me if I’m wrong.

I did. Not sure if the decisions are later or not.

Yea, I applied to MSB. I don’t know if the decisions come out later than they would for the other schools, but either way best of luck to you and hopefully we will find out our results soon! There’s a ton to be stressed about and I’m super nervous but all we can really do is wait now… hopefully not for too long lol

Anyone hear anything today? I’m probably the most impatient person ever and can’t wait to know. Applied to the college as a government major.

Probably too early inthe day

Hey guys, not sure if this is just specific to me but when I reached out requesting an early read two weeks ago what they told me was this: “The admissions committees are only in the beginning stages of transfer application review. It may be possible to provide a “leaning” of an admissions decision perhaps in May. Please reach back out to our office in about a month, in case we have the opportunity at that time to provide more admissions decision information at that time.” I’m not sure if they say this to act with an abundance of caution or not but this could mean we should expect anything until well into next month unlike previous years? not sure…

^I had actually shared this earlier but thought I should share it again for newcomers to the thread

Very interesting. I sent my request for an early read yesterday because I received an acceptance letter from another school in DC and they “strongly encourage” to enroll by April 28th. My admissions rep at GTown wrote back to me today saying they give that “leaning” decision a few days in advance. She then said that I should reach out Friday or Monday to set up a time to talk over the phone.
