boston college easily (i’ve visited, its really pretty. not the school for me tho, probably because my cousin went and i want to go somewhere where nobody in my family has been yet… but it is a very nice school)
im sure you’d get into UVA easily too.
duke quite possibly.
and georgetown might happen too.
you have a very strong GPA and test scores and your ECs arent bad as well. i think if duke&gtown dont accept you it would be just because they have way too many people just like you and they want to increase the diversity … you know, throw in a few people who don’t have near perfect SAT and slightly lower GPA’s.
but anyways. good luck. you should be fine with those four. have you checked out harvard? greatttttt school and it is absolutely beautiful. you could probably get in there.

Are you being recruited for football? And what position do you play?

Even if you’re not being recruited, if you have an interest in walking on, you should talk to the coaches because they can get you a BIG boost from the admissions committee by “recommending” you. And as a side note, if there’s any chance you could walk on at BC or UVA, you could probably be a 4-year starter for GTown or Duke, so you’ve got that going for you ; )

im actually being recruited by some ivys, but im leaning towards not playing in college. im trying to see where i can get in based on my own merit. im not on the level of BC UVA or even Duke for football though. aairzoom i play fullback and middle linebacker.

thats still pretty awesome though. good luck

even if you get recruited by IVYS, you can choose not to play i heard.
my friend got into yale with football and he told me that since there are no sports scholarship at IVY, its a regular scholarship, meaning that you can choose not to play in college, but youll still get the money

that is wat i heard… so im not sure.

Yes, there are no sports scholarships offered by ivies, but when these schools recruit athletes, they can’t officially give recruits academic scholarships. What they do is find some way around that by either offering financial aid (a lot of it) or other methods which I am unaware of

every financial aid package in the ivys is strictly need-based. They’re not allowed to give any kind of money to athletes outside of what the financial aid office determines they need. so yea technically u could quit football the first day you step on campus, but im definitely not going to do that. i think if the coaches step on the line for you to get you in, you cant just stab them in the back like that.

lol anyway guys what about my chances?

IF you show a passion for something you are a very very good candidate. Other than sports do u have any other ECs? maybe some more academic ones?
what do you want to study?..can you make your passions clear through your apps.
If so you are def in!
