No, the boys too. Just kidding lol. Hmm our male tour guide was in jeans and a stripped t-shirt. The girl tour guide at G’Town was the one wearing short shorts, and her voice was annoying–no offense to her–. Yet for GWU our tour guide was in a polo GW shirt, with dress pants and dress shoes. Don’t get me wrong, G’Town was a very nice school. It was beautiful, with very nice architecture. Yet nothing popped out to me, so it all depends on how you feel about it.

First impressions are really important, but they can really only tell you so much about a school. Really consider your acedemic needs especially once you are accepted and know your options. How students seem to dress or what the buildings look like is really going to make only a marginal difference. There are concrete social and acemedic differences between the schools that should also inform your choice. Good luck to you all!

GW vs. Georgetown? You don’t hear that every day. We’re local rivals, unofficially. Kudos for picking GW over Georgetown, I don’t know too many people who would.

GW is a lesser-ranked city/urban campus, closer to gov’t interships, etc. They have newer, impressive buildings, great events, and a slew of impressive guest speakers.

Georgetown is a higher ranked ‘traditional’ campus, further from the heart of the city.

Don’t forget about the DC Consortium of schools- you can take classes at GW, Georgetown, American, UDC, etc., if you’re a student at any one of them. (Limited number of classes, but can still experience another school.)

^Never knew that, that’s cool!

That does sound pretty fun, but it would probably be a little inconvenient to go to classes at a different campus. I suppose if there was a professor you really wanted to study with it could be worth it.
