Guys, I’m having a tough time deciding between Georgetown’s SFS and Columbia. Any suggestions?
I vote Columbia.
It depends on your choice of major, SFS is really geared for the people majoring in international ________.
Georgetown… DC location is great!
Have you visited both? If you like the idea of being in New York, go with Columbia!
Columbia
Georgetown SFS is amazing in every way. It is definitely better
which place will provide a more enjoyable experience?
If your mind is set for IR or anything Foreign affairs etc, Georgetown SFS. If you might change your mind, Columbia can offer you a wider spectrum of majors to choose.
You really cannot go wrong with either schools.
No comparison; Columbia has been source for future diplomats and global leaders for generations. Roar lion, roar!!!
@eastcoastplease2015 By what standard or metric? Gtown is a very solid school, and if you want to go into the State Department and/or foreign affairs, I would say seriously consider in lieu of Columbia. That said, Columbia on a vast array of topics and majors is much stouter. Endowment and the ability to support its students, it also no legitimate comparison–1 billion to about 10 billion.
So, if you prefer a more centralized campus in a tony but separated portion of town, perhaps Gtown is your school. If you seek a world class education, in an urban but truly diverse environment, in one of the premier cities in the world—Columbia.
