Georgetown vs Johns Hopkins

I cant decide where to go. I want the school that will best help me get into a top tier medical school while still having a good time as an undergrad...

i'm biased, because i'll be at gt sfs in the fall, but a lot of the people i know at jhu aren't happy socially.

I made that same decision when deciding where to go. JHU is know for being way competitive- i've heard of people stealing other peoples notes so that they wouldn't be able to study them and basically screwing over their classmates. That's not the environment i wanted. Gtown is much less competitive while still giving you a good premed education. There are lots of research opportunities in DC and they probably aren't as cutthroat to get. At johns hopkins a good percentage of the people you know will be premed, maybe you want to be with people with similar interests or maybe you want to be surrounded by people with more diverse interests- it's something to think about. DC>> Baltimore. The people i know at johns hopkins aren't really happy, so i'd definitely say georgetown, but obviously i'm biased cus i think gtown is the best school there is.

Johns Hopkins has the highest acceptance rates to both medical and law schools in the United States.

I also heard Similarly. First of all a lot more people know JHU for Medicine but i know Georgetown has a good med track also i heard. My teacher went to JHU and said it was so competitive. People would sabotage other peoples' science labs and research and it doesnt seem like the type of environment one would be happy in. Also as stated above DC is better than Baltimore. In the end they are both great schools and you will do fine wherever you go but its just a matter of which one you would be happier at.
