Georgetown vs. Northwestern vs LSE (UK)

I am an international student from singapore choosing between the SFS at georgetown and econs/International studies at Northwestern and Econ/Government at LSE...

I don't know what i want to do after uni, but i want to keep option of LAW and I-Banking open, i want classes which have loadsa discussion and debate and also school spirit (kinda ignoring LSE on this point), and a healthy student social life (no socialising in the library :P)

any info/ advice would be helpful!

All the Singaporeans here seem to love it, so there’s that to consider (I personally know about 10)

LSE is porbably the university with the best reputation…
And London is a great place tom party(drinking age 18 btw…);)

I am an international student and is now a sophomore at NU. I never regretted my choice. Two years ago, along with all those acceptances by the US Universities, I was also given offers by a number of UK Universities which included Imperial, UCL, Warwick and LSE… Whilst Economic and Mathematics were my intended major, LSE would be my choice naturally if i chose to study in UK. Eventually I opt for the States as I need an education that would be more comprehensive and a place where I have a feel of campus. LSE is great in Economics and Social Sciences, but other than that there’s not much choice you can make if you want to take subjects of different areas, like music and sciences for instance. Besides, UK universities are also a lot less flexible when comparing with the US uni in changing majors. About the location of LSE, yes it’s in the heart of London, a great city that could pound your heart and spin your head, however the few buildings of LSE that spread around the block is too loose and does not give me a feeling of a campus. LSE might be suitable for somebody but certainly it’s not suitable for me.

Georgetown!

go to georgetown

LSE’s a great school, but I’m guessing NU or Georgetown might be a better fit for you. If you’re looking at Law OR I-Banking, I would go for NU. If you’re pretty much set on law, though, Georgetown’s a great choice, too. I think NU has enough school spirit, especially at football games, and the higher level classes are small enough for you to engage in discussions as well. I can’t say too much about Georgetown, since I don’t attend the school. However, I believe both Georgetown and NU are wonderful options, so it’s all a matter of what you want to gain from your college experience, given that each has its differences.
