Hello everyone... I've been accepted as a transfer to Georgetown and I am currently a student at the University of Michigan. Now I have a tough choice ahead of me. I was just wondering if anyone could offer some of their input to help me better weigh my options. I am a premed majoring in English, if that helps. Thank you all in advance!

You know, that's interesting because I applied as a transfer to both Michigan and Georgetown. I already got into Michigan, but I'm still waiting to hear from GU. I thought we weren't going to hear until closer to June. Did you just receive word today? was it a regular-sized envelope or a big packet? If I get in, I will probably choose GU because I am attending American University right now, and I absolutely love Washington DC. I'm a poly sci major, so it would probably be smart to stay in DC since I'm sure there are more internship opportunities available here than almost anywhere else. I'm not sure how good the English department is at GU, but I'm sure it's decent. What makes you want to leave Michigan?

oh one last thing...did you apply to transfer in as a sophomore or a junior? also, did you apply early, or closer to march 1? and if i might ask, what were your stats? sorry to play 20 questions here, I'm just a bit anxious haha :)

why are you transfering?

specialed...I'm assuming that question's for mega?

Hi! I actually sent in my application about a week before the deadline and my acceptance letter came in a little envelope-- I know, it freaked me out for a minute! As for my stats, I had a 4.0 in high school and a bunch of random extracurriculars; in college, I had a 3.8 my first semester.

I'm excited that I was accepted by GU, but it's still a very difficult decision (as I'm sure you know). Michigan is a great school, but Ann Arbor, while very cute and charming, isn't exactly DC. There is a whole lot to consider...

yea it is ckdunton
