I have been admitted at Vanderbilt for my sophomore year, but am waiting for Georgetown's decision. Which school would you go to and why?

I will be applying as a transfer to Georgetown next year.
Just remember, Vanderbilt is in Nashville (which is in Tennessee). .

There are other factors as well like major, hometown, socioeconomic status, future plans, etc. It’s hard to say which is "better’ without the above info.

I’d choose Georgetown.

i mean…do you like them both equally? what are you looking for in a school? that may help to get you some more detailed responses i think

I will be a political science major. Obviously Georgetown has a superior department to Vanderbilt, but Vandy is still a very good school with a good mix of academics and fun. Tough decision if I get accepted to Georgetown (no guarantee by any stretch of the imagination)

Depends on a lot! Do you plan on going Greek, if so, mark off Georgetown, as they do not offer Greek life, whereas, Vanderbilt has one of the biggest Greek life systems found in private institutions. Vanderbilt tends to attract a lot more Southern kids whereas GTown is a lot of DC/VA/MD kids with your mix of internationals and North and other regions. Vanderbilit is more of a college campus, college environment and Georgetown is like a Beverly Hills type atmosphere with expensive boutiques and restaurants.

How much are you getting? Like your finical aid package? Any scholarship?
