Well the crappy proff is also on the board for choosing students entering med school at GTown. He pretty much told me off saying I should not think of med school whn I told him tht I goin to do premed. He said I would be better of in trade school. Just to tell u ur in for a tough time there if u apply for med school there.

wow sorry skygirl- that's a really crappy interaction to have with a professor and I can understand how it can color your impression of the entire school.

No difference at all between Emory, WashU, and Gtown.

I disagree. I think that Georgetown and Wash U are substantially better than Emory. That is my opinion. If it were me, I would take Georgetown.

recognition doesn't matter when going to med school. They want good grades. The difference in prestige between the two schools is sooo minimal both ways it will not make an ounce of a difference. You are in the WRONG forums to be asking out med school my friend ... www.studentdoctor.net

i would also go to georgetown over washu.
plus, u have dc!

i actually ended up visiting both schools 2 weeks ago...ended up sticking wish washu

the georgetown campus did not impress me in any way...there were about 3 pretty buildings (the old ones) and the rest was all brick and built like on top of each other.

i found WashU to be one of the prettiest campuses i have ever encountered, and I could see myself there. forest park was gorgeous as well.

i guess i just went with feeling and fit this time....

They're both great schools. You can't go wrong by going with the one that "felt" right. Congrats to you. :)
