Hey guys - hoya 24 here. In the past 10 days, there have been 2 students on the Instagram group who posted their introductions and said they got off the waitlist. good luck and don’t lose hope!

update: i just received an email from my AO today about a phone call tomorrow morning when i had given up hope for weeks at this point. i applied EA, sent a LOCI, was put on the waitlist (sent another LOCI), was put on the extended waitlist (sent two updates), and basically gave up hope by May 1. i’d advise everyone here not to hold on to extensive hope (hard to do) but be prepared for the best case scenario!
@westsj8 congrats. Very happy for you. Which school did you get into, which state are you from, and if from CA are you from nor cal or so cal.

@Camlian @838388383 i am currently commited to UCLA and actually got in off the UCLA waitlist on May 2. I sent an update near the end of April for the regular waitlist about a scholarship award i received, another update in mid-may about a separate award, and a much shorter update reiterating my interest on may 16 (after accepting my spot on the ext waitlist). in the phone call, he did tell me that they want to finalize the very last spots in the incoming class.
@westsj8 that’s a pretty position to be in. UCLA is likewise a great school. Additionally, it is more affordable (if I may so as a parent :)) Irrespective of whether you decide to go to UCLA or Georgetown, I’m certain you have a bright future.
