I heard Walsh School is the most competitive undergrad school among GU colleges. By how far is Walsh School competitive to get into than to get into Georgetown Collge?

SFS is definitely more competitive than the College. If you go to the Georgetown boards, you'll see that students with high GPAs, high SATs were rejected from Georgetown SFS, but several students with decent GPA, decent SATs got into the college.

When I applied EA last year to the college, I was accepted with a 1270 SAT test score (old) and a 4.3 GPA. My classmate had mid-1100s, 3.7 GPA and was also admitted during regular decision at the College at Georgetown University.

ru kidding eifelguy, don't u need at least a 1350 to get into Gtown?

No I'm not kidding. I was admitted to Georgetown University with 1270 SAT I (old). But my GPA, internship, SAT II, AP made up for the low SAT.

And my classmate with the mid-1100s is now attending Georgetown.

would it be possible then to just apply to the college and then transfer to the SFS if u got in, it might be easier

Actually, Georgetown makes that quite difficult. Transfering into SFS can be dangerous since you don't have priority over SFS students and that may mean you're not fulfilling College requirements so that means late graduation. Not to mention statistically, it's not in your favor.

Thanks.
I applied to SFS with Sat1 2050, gpa 4.7/5.0w, and Sat2 750/710/700
any chances?
I'm international by the way.

SFS is the hardest part of Gtown to get into. I applied early with 34 act, 2100 sat (1480) 4.3 weighted and top ten percent and i was deffered which is essentially a denial for Gtown. Moonyguy I think you definitely have a chance because your SAT's are pretty much what I have but your GPA is by far better. I am IB but I do not really think that changes things much. I also have a Kansas education which right now is probably not helpful. All I can say is good luck to you guys.

Thanks sethlyon.
I didn't expect SFS this hard tho.
