Georgetown

Hey, I was just wondering if I could have some input on my chances of getting into Georgetown University. I applied to the college.

GPA - Weighted: 4.55

Class Size: 180

Classes: 4 AP, 1 Honors Senior year; 3 AP, 3 Honors Junior Year; 5 Honors both Freshman and Sophomore Year.. All A's except for B+ in English Sophomore year

Scores:

SAT I Math: 770
SAT I Critical Reading: 700
SAT I Writing: 760
SAT II U.S. History: 760
SAT II Math Level 2 (IIC): 760
SAT II Chemistry: 680

Extracurriculars:

Significant Extracurriculars: National Honors Society, Math Team, French Club
Athletic Status - list sport and your level: Soccer (Varsity), Swimming (Varsity)
Volunteer/Service Work: 57.5 hours
Honors and Awards: Harvard Book Award, RPI Medal, Superintendant's Award, Honors Mathematics (two years), AP Chem, Honors English (two years), Honors Bio

I think you definately have a great shot at Georgetown! What do you plan to major in?

Well my sister’s a sophomore there, she got in with similar stats, so I think you’re good. But what are you considering majoring in? I ask because I saw the RPI Medal. If it’s anything engineering, I think you can make a better choice than Georgetown.

EDIT: Also, the “Honors” in Honors and Awards is meant to represent titles or awards, not Honors classes taken. Easy Mistake.

Thanks for the feedback. I plan on majoring in either mathematics or economics.

I also applied to Tufts, Dartmouth, UPenn, and Princeton. Any input on my chances for those schools would be great.
