My essays are all very good, I have received excellent help during the writing process - one of the benefits of attending a small private school with an awesome college counseling office</p>

<p>Low GPA will hurt and no other scores really make up for it. I am surprised you got a 28 on science that is the easiest section, if you did well on that you would have a way better chance. </p>

<p>Agree with @HH12345‌ about scores and GPA.</p>

<p>Second, colleges like to see one or two clubs in which you have dedicated much of your time and work. Which club or clubs are they? Have you gotten awards/honors in any of your clubs (such as varsity athletics, national recognition, etc.)? </p>

<p>Third, National Merit what? Semifinalist? Commended? The only honor in NM is finalist, and most SFs get finalist recognition.</p>
