Georgetown

<p>Hey guys, this is my first time posting on CollegeConfidential. Im curious as to whether you all think i have a decent shot at Georgetown. GTown's always been my dream school so im going to apply as a transfer to the McDonough School of Business. Finance Major</p>

<p>White Middle Class Male
Went to a top public school in the northeast
Now a Freshman at Tulane University</p>

<p>High School Unweighted GPA 3.5
AP Pyshics 4
College GPA 3.9 (If my grades stay as they are)
-My classes are all intro level classes
SAT 700Math 690Verbal 650Writing
SAT II 700, 650, and 620</p>

<p>EC's from Highschool
Student Council
Captain of Soccer Team, All State soccer
All State Track and Field
Played a varsity sport every season
Athlete of the year at High School
National Honor Society
State Honor Society
Homecoming court
Several other awards, cant think of anything else at the moment</p>

<p>College-
Club Soccer, Intrameral Football,
Debate Society,
Investment Society, International Business Society</p>

<p>Work-
Work 40 hour weeks during summer
Work 10 hours a week at college</p>

<p>Community Service
Roughly 100 hours from past couple of years</p>

<p>Just let me know what u think, or if you have any advice. Anything would be very appreciated</p>

<p>I think your high school stats are towards the lower end for georgetown- but you can make that up if your college grades are really good</p>

Those are the median ranges for the freshmen class of Georgetown. Your numbers are within the median (for SATs), but on the lower side for some. Your admission, IMO, will really come down to your reason for transferring essay and your recommendations. Your high GPA will definitely help, but McDonough is an excellent business school, which will be hard to get into.</p>
