Georgetown

I want to apply to SFS because it is the program that I am most interested in. Can I apply to both SFS and Arts and Science? Will they just defer me? Id hate to apply to Arts and Science because Im afraid of rejection.

You can only apply to one college within the university. Either you get in, or you don't.

so they wont defer me to artsci if i get rejected from sfs?

nope. no deferral

can you tell me the difference between acceptance rates/ elaborate on the general difference in selectivity?

You'll have to ask someone else for exact rates but SFS is more competetive since it's georgetown's premier program.

ok thnx

does anyone have the sfs transfer rates? how bout the rate for the college as well.

SFS is 13% I think, and college is either 18% or in the 20's..I can't remember exactly

For those who have presidents call, the admit rate into SFS is 100% - even after the initial rejection.

1) whats presidents call

2) with a 1200 sat score, do i have a chance for sophomore admissions

Hmm nspeds, can you explain what "presidents call" means, ?...obviously I am extremely interested.

I am not familiar with the process. One person here undertook this tactic; perhaps she could lend some expertise?

nspeds...shame on you! I was just at Gtown, a week ago, and I am not going if that's your concern! Blah, money is always an issue :(

for the rest...what nspeds had in mind is "appealing" the original decision or SFS...nothing important!

Yes, euphemisms are suitable palliatives.
