i no that georgetown has a relatively low endowment (~750m) compared to other schools of its caliber. I dont no if I should be worried about this bc most of a school's endowment usually goes towards funding research and georgetown doesn't have a lot of research. does it's low endowment mean that resources r scarce? will the cost of georgetown increase drastically bc of this (up from 48/49)?

I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Georgetown is clearly a strong school, and the endowment hasn't been an issue as of yet.

You shouldn't be worried, because, no offense, no research you do as an undergrad will be of enough consequence to be impacted by a low endowment. In fact, the school's funding for research has less to do with our education and more with the school's prestige and external image (though, notable alums can also contribute to this prestige, and have).

Well, the endowment isn't that important since GT's most well-known programs aren't big-budget programs. It's not like you need a huge research facility/lab with the latest equipments for international studies after all. Their science program is relatively weak though.

um, people that aren't actually in the science/health programs always say that they are weak, when they aren't, personal experience(i'm premed and have taken courses in the Chemistry and Human Science departments).
