At the very 11th hour, Georgia’s governor vetoed the campus carry bill. Many may disagree, but I applaud this decision.
Some sense, finally.
Must be because I am from the UK originally, but I do find it funny that you can own a gun at 18 but not buy a beer. Kids aren’t responsible enough to drink, though they are to go around armed. Hmm.
If college today is anything like it was when I attended, the last think I’d want is armed students (or alums!!).
Hallelujah. There is a small amount of common sense still left out there.
Go Nathan Go! First the religious liberty bill now this. I didn’t vote for him last time but if he keeps this up he may get me next time around.
Reading between the lines, he vetoed it because some were unwilling to make some compromises he suggested. Sadly it will come up again next year and probably pass with these compromises https://www.google.com/search?q=aquaclimb&rlz=1C1GGGE_enUS464US464&espv=2&biw=1058&bih=741&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi8_fji6cDMAhUFQSYKHXihAv4QsAQIMA
@jym626 The link takes me to a rock war in a swimming pool.
Rock wall, you mean? Me too. Brought a smile to my face though, at least.
Totally gonna put that in my pool! Sorry, shouldn’t be frivolous with such a serious matter at stake. If the bill gets passed with compromises, that is depressing.
Sorry about the first link! try the second one . Wait- that’s an older one. I’ll find a newer one–
