Georgia GHP for Mathematics

Hello all,

I’ve recently found out that I will be recommended for the local level of GHP for mathematics. I was just wondering if you guys had any advice or comments about this, and if it is worth it.

Also, try and chance me based on some stats if you can please?

  • I am a rising sophomore and I want to be an economics major.
  • I am taking AP Calculus AB BC this year, my school offers a block course that we can take in order to finish it in one year
  • I have a 4.0 GPA in math for every single course(I got a 91 in Algebra 1/Geometry part A honors, 99 in Algebra II/Geometry part B honors, and will have a 97 in Precalc, which I took online over the summer)
  • 100 on both Algebra I and Geometry EOCs
  • Participate in math club and quiz bowl/academic team, but have no good achievements for math club. I do have a couple of quiz bowl achievements, including good placings in almost every single tournament involving teams from around the state.
  • I am confident I’ll get great recommendations from my teacher that is recommending me, as well as good recommendations from my calc teacher.

From what I have heard, it is a fantastic experience. Did you decide to go for it, and, if so, how has the selection process gone so far for you ? Best of luck!
