@Coloradomama Wow! More Californians than I expected! There is a pretty sizable Chinese population, too or the students from China mainly graduate students?
@suenos53 Did your son get into Georgia Tech, or maybe still waiting I don’t remember the date for transfer students.
Here is the chart of grad students and undergrads by race at GT.
Asian Indian Americans and Chinese Americans are not separated out.
The reason seniors seem to have a lot higher numbers is the fifth year seniors who have gone on co ops are considered seniors, along with 4th year seniors. Students from China would be international students and not separated by race in this chart.

My son completes his second lab course (Engineering Physics 2) at the end of May so we found out he has to wait to hear from GT until the June 15th date of acceptance. In the meantime we will visit UC San Diego this Saturday for their transfer day. If all goes well, he will put down a deposit to save a space. UC San Diego looks like a great school with a solid program. My son still has his hopes on GT, though, so we’ll see.
