Hey guys, for those of you who got into GT, congratulations! :bz :bz Would you mind sharing your stats (GPA, SAT, AP Scores) and extra curricular (particularly community service/volunteer hours) below? I am currently a junior and it is my dream to go there, so I would love to hear more from those who did. Thanks so much!
Edit: I’d also appreciate it if those who were deferred/wait listed shared their stats and ECs as well!
My son got in EA…here are his stats
SAT 1590
GPA (weighted…school only does weighted)4.42
SAT subject tests…Math,Bio and physics…all 800
AP…Bio Calc AB and Comp sci…all 5s
IB diploma candidate
ECS…robotics &quiz bowl (leadership roles) lot of coding side projects and volunteer hrs in robotics(mentoring /programming workshops) and library. AIME qualifier and USACO gold
My son got in for Comp sci…I think the reason he got in is not just his high stats(if u look at 2022 EA thread u will see people have been deferred and denied even with high stats),but I think he has shown with course selection and his ecs that he is into compsci for many years. Also the GTech short answers are very important…make sure to convey why you want to go there.
