Georgia Tech and Med School application question

With GT being very rigorous and it being hard to get a relatively good GPA, would a graduate from GT be as competitive as a graduate from a college like Emory with a higher GPA for applying to medical school? I know if you get a BME degree at GT, it looks better than just taking pre-med at Emory or elsewhere to a medical school. But what about GPA? The average GPA at GT I have been seeing on the internet seems relatively low for a school that is really competitive to get into (I know rigorous is the reason). Do most if not all medical schools take into the fact that the GT GPA would be much higher if the graduate were at a different college? Would seem dumb if a 3.8 at GT was seen as the same as a 3.8 at Emory...

Last question: Is a graduate who went to a 2 year college (Georgia Perimeter) prior to attending GT, looked at the same as a graduate who attended GT for the whole 4 years? I am guessing they both look the same as the GPA would reset. I am just concerned about making the right "plan" once I get out of highschool. I probably won't get into GT right away so I don't want to make the poor decision of going to GPC if it will be looked down on if I were to ever apply to medical school. (would only apply if I was competitive enough with the GPA I graduate with)

Thanks

I would ask this question on the pre-med forum. They would be better able to guide you.
