Georgia Tech as an International Students

Hi, I'm new on this site and I'm glad because I find a site that could help me

First of all, I'm 17 years old. I'm from Caracas, Venezuela and I am in senior year.

I have a GPA of 3.9 in one of the best schools of my country.

I've played soccer for eleven years at my school. I am also a Model United Nations delegate. I've participated in ten national and regional Model United Nations winning 5 awards, including a Best Delegate Award at the most important Model United Nations of my country.

Last year, I was elected President of the Students Council of my High School, and organization elected by all students voting that represents all students of the school against professors and the principal. We also work to improve students rights.

I created and organized a recycling campaign at my school, recycling paper. Our school lacked of recycling so We implemented it and it worked satisfactory. This year, our campaign is having government's support.

I also have great reference from several professor of my high school.

My problem is that I have taken SAT and my scores are not that satisfactory. I have scored 450 on Critical Reading, 420 on Writing and 600 on Math. I will take it again in december, I know that I could improve my math score but I know that I cannot improve writing and reading so much. Both sections are difficult for me, considering that English is not my native language , though Georgia Tech requires just 430 on critical reading section to be consider for admission.

So, my question is: Am I competitive for GATech instead of my SAT Critical Reading and Writing scores considering that English is my second language and taking in mind my GPA and all the activities that I've done at High School.

Thanks you very much, I'm a bit concerned because of this

i think if u are thinkin of retaking again in december, you should work hard to improve all your scores considerably.that makes u stand a better chance in the pool of intl applicants.
