Georgia Tech chance?

Hello fellow CCers. I am a junior-1rst semester, international student in an Int. school. I know it is probably too early to decide about colleges but I dont think my academics or my student profile will change too much. So I am curious and infact dying to know what my chances are to get into Georgia tech.

My school grading is out of 4.3, with A+ (98-100) being 4.3, A (94-97) being 4 and A- (90-93) being 3.7.

Resume:

Grade 9, Grade 10: Normal courses mainly. Advanced Math courses taken but technically not weighted. On one of them I got a C; rest A s.

Grade 11-12: I took 7 IB courses.
Chem HL, Physics HL, Econ HL, Maths SL, English SL, French AB SL, ComputerScience SL ( 1 year)

Cumulative unweighted (grade 9-10) = 3.64 GPA
Cumulated weighted (expected/hoping) (grade 11-12) =** 3.7 GPA /B
Total cumulative unweighted =** 3.4 GPA**

SAT score = 690 (M) , 610 (Cr) , 680 (W) = 1980
Gonna retake it in Feb. Score should be around **2050/B

ECs:

Chess Vice President.
Table Tennis Vice President.
Arranged many Chess tournaments. Came 4th in all highschool Chess tournament.
Participated in school group Chess tournaments, coming second place.
Lots of Table tennis arrangements.
Loads of community works and hours (mainly coz of IB)
Was really active in middle school (does it count...?)

Not many ECs hehe. Btw, my brother is also in Gtech if that helps in some way...

So can you guys tell me if gtech is a match or a reach. And if gtech is a reach or if there is no freaking way I will get admitted into gtech, can you pass suggestions, advice on how I can turn things around. :)

Thanks,

Yeah, you should get in. Just see if you can get that GPA up a tad, and go for your target SAT score.

Best of luck!

Oh and btw my unweighted GPA includes all the fillers like Art, Music and other electives. Excluding all that and recalculating, my unweighted GPA will be around 3.38.

I think GT is going to take you because you’re going to pay full-freight. They’re going to want the money.

Well your schedule looks very full. you may be at a disadvanatge though because some colleges look at IB programs as somewhat sketch and they prefer AP courses (yes I know…not available to you) because those are run by College Board. I got into GT this year for early action (still not sure if I will go). Being an international student helps. You may get in, good luck

^ When did you get the acceptance letteR?

Thanks for the replies guys. @Asereph, unfortunately there is only 1 AP course offered in my school-AP Calculus (AB I think). I spoke with my counceller and he told me that Maths SL2 is very similar to AP calc… so I thought Maths SL2 would be better to continue.

Btw I am planning on giving Physics SAT II, Chem II, Maths II, Calculus (one out of 800), and some other tests if required.

Do you guys have any suggestions/evaluations about my GPA, SAT , EC.
Keep the replies coming. Thanks!

@webass. I didnt get you. Is it a joke? lol I dont get the tone of a person when the message is digitalized.

What is your reasoning here?

Just depends on which state your in. I know some friends who took IB programs and struggled to get credit in certain schools. I know I don’t have hard justification, but its kinda like the ACT/SAT thing…there’s just a different thinking about the programs from different people. This is more of my opinion.
