***Georgia Tech Class of 2020 EA Applicant Thread***

Wait, when do decisions come out…?

Jan 9

Tech just tweeted out about late night admission committee readings :slight_smile:
I think tech will probably release on Jan 9 even if they lock December 26th because you have to account for the days they will be out of the office and how long it will take to upload everything. It’s only 10 business days

Son’s October ACT was just released today, and is on Buzzport. But, 2 days late. Has anyone else had this problem with delayed scores? I know there has been delays with both SAT and ACT this fall. I would hate it if they couldn’t count it. Any opinions on if they would consider scores 2 days late?

GPA- 4.0 UW (97.167% numeric)
ACT- 33© 35M 34R 33S 31E

GPA ~3.95 - 4? International student and I don’t get a GPA. However, my marks are near perfect fwiw

34 ACT

@Momof3kidsau they will consider it as long as you ordered them by the deadline. As far as coming in late, they expected delays on test scores because of the reporting methods this year. However, it’s better safe than sorry so I would just send out an email to his ad counselor and ask about it.

@anotherdude You’re in good shape.

@ismitah thanks for the info

Is it just me, or are you guys having dreams about tech? Like every night… >-)

Sorry, that was the wrong emoji, I meant [-O<

Lol I think its just you haha

@fprosk, Yeah I guess so. Well, that was lame- but worth the shot.

Out of curiosity, what were your guys’ personal mottos?

@itsmyusername “excelsior” and an explanation on why it’s my motto

@ismitah from Star Trek?

Mine was “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.” Pretty cheesy but I liked it.

What are my chances?

ACT-34
Math-33
English -35
English + writing-31

GPA-about 3.8 uw. all my b’s were in 9th grade though so do they consider that it was early in my high school?

I felt like my essays were pretty good, I put a lot of effort into the main common app essay. My EC’s are good and I was a National Merit Commended Student.

Along with Basketball, I have also represented my high school in Cricket and Soccer for some years. Some more Ecs but not that great.

I also held the post of “Prefect Sports” in my High school for a single academic year. Research in robotics and fire safety also.

Do you guys give super score or single highest when asking for chances?

So I heard that for in state students that if you did not take DL (Georgia tech), then your chances of being accepted is very slim and you might be deferred. What do you guys think, because I am sitting over here and crying with the thought that I might be rejected/deferred for not taking DL.
