***Georgia Tech Class of 2020 EA Applicant Thread***

I applied EA to Georgia Tech and took several Dual Credit classes in high school - all through my high school. On my GA application it says “College Transcript - Missing and not required for Decision” Do I need to worry about this? All the classes are on my high school transcript since they’re DC.

@Spike2k2 Email your admissions counselor or call admissions and they will get that requirement removed. We had to do that for a non-credit college class. I would be concerned that your app could be prevented from being deemed completed by the computer even though the info is there.

Thanks for the advice, I’ve emailed my my counselor and I’ll see what she says.

Well, if you mentioned that u took college courses, they expect you to submit the transcript if those courses do not show up on your HS transcript. We emailed to the counsellor and she said to send them over if we want that to be considered else, the file is good for EA decision.

Is the whole November 2nd decision thing official? Has anyone reached out to GA Tech admissions to confirm this?

Also, please chance me----
I am an Indian female and I applied to computer engineering. Here are my stats— ACT 33C(35 M + 33 Sc + 34 Reading + 31 E). GPA (UW 4.0-97% numeric). I did the first 2.5 years of my high school in India so, I only have 6 AP and DE classes. I have leadership positions from India and am a part time tutor. I am in-state and my GT counselor knows that I have a special transfer case (if that helps).

I would also like to know about the Nov. 2nd date - that’s what’s listed for me as well.

@Spike2k2 Is your profile on buzzport complete?

NOV 2nd is NOT the official date, it is JAN. 9th

I have called tech and they have denied Nov 2 rumors

Where did you guys even hear about the November 2nd thing?

Oh okay…But it says so on Tech’s website and it is not just listed on a forum or something…

@Iamquiteloud The link was in the previous posts on this thread–

Take a look at this: http://admission.gatech.edu/freshman/freshman-deadlines-fees

@Xboxgamergirl I totally agree, but why does the other link say so?

I dont know what links say its November 2nd. Maybe its for transfer or international study students? I know that international study students have to turn their forms in by Monday. Maybe its that? Also in a situation like this tech has to email us. And hypothetically, even if they did change the decision notification date, why would there be a 3 month jump? (from Jan to Nov?!)

@Xboxgamergirl When you click on “see my admission decision” button, it asks you to enter your buzzport credentials. When I did that, my name and GT id came up. It said that my decision would be out on Nov. 2nd.
Also, I submitted my app on Oct. 7th. So, can it be possible that they are releasing decisions for who ever has all their required documents in?

We hadn’t noticed that before (how when you click through it says Nov 2). Now I’m wondering why that is too.

@SouthFloridaMom9 Does it say the same for you too?

Yes (well, for my son).

Oh.It seems weird because they said that we could send in supporting documents until Dec 1st. I guess I have to call Tech and find out.
