Did not get nominated ! When do the Provost scholarships come our ?
My daughter got e mail…she is semifinalist.
Semi-finalist here too… Probably not going but a very big honor to be nominated.

Hmm that would be down from last year when approximately 5300 were accepted EA. And generally 60% of Presidential scholars are from in state as that is the target rate of acceptances per their President from a presentation in September 2015.
Since Provost come in mail is it possible that it was delayed due to snow?
GT Scholarship website says:
When will Provost Scholars be selected and notified?
Students will be notified via email within two weeks of admission decision release for both the Early Action and Regular Decision application rounds. Students who are not awarded will not be contacted.
After reading that, I would assume that Provost recipients would have received an email yesterday as well.
School closed early Friday due to snow. That might have some effect on the mail.
Well, got in. Didn’t get selected for Presidential Semifinalist. Feeling really yucky about that. Makes me question my applications to more selective schools if I can’t accomplish that selection.
to all deferred students- when u submitted ur deferred applicant supplement thing, is there a way to know it went through? mine just went blank again after i submitted and my friend’s did it too so idk if it went through or not
Just submitted an application for an alumni scholarship. Literally one of the funniest essays I’ve ever written.
@sunbeams I submitted the DSF on friday… still no confirmation. Should I email them and ask? Or it’ll take some time since sat/ sun was the weekend…
@Rohitmohit Since you just submitted Friday and I don’t think they will upload/send anything over the weekend but I don’t think it hurts to check with GT if you wish.
I submitted on Friday too, and I received an email yesterday confirming.
@imabelli Can you please check on your checklist if it says received? I got the confirmation, but the checklist still says “Missing and required”

Hi everyone! I got deferred to regular decision. I submitted the DSF on Jan 26 but no confirmation till now. What should I do? I’m really nervous as the deadline is just round the corner.
