I am an international student from India who recently graduated with 86% Avg(CBSE).
I also applied to schools like penn state,Virginia tech,Purdue,UIUC.I consider these schools as safety schools for me,correct me if I am wrong.I want to study industrial engineering here.Affordability isn’t really my concern.Anybody chance me plz.
Come on guys am I the only one who applied for regular decision to Georgia Tech.I want all the RD applicants to come forward and share their viewpoints.
I got accepeted to GA tech in early action round with a 30 act i also applied to purdue
My act was 32 E 31 M 33 R 25 S
Hello! I was deferred by Tech in EA…I did my deferral form to Tech…waiting for RD decisions
I applied RD. ACT 34, 3.98 uw / 5.17 w GPA. Bunch of ECs and two sport varsity player. I guess we’ll have to wait and see…
i really want to get in. But i doubt it…2140 sat. 750 us history. 700 math 2. computer science
@Srijith97 I’m not sure if I would consider UIUC to be a safety school. 27 ACT is quite low for UIUC, although I thinkg Industrial engineering is not as selective as some departments. You should get into Purdue and Penn state, IMO.
@CHCollege123 I got deferred as well!
I was wondering if anyone who got deferred is able to see the “Application Quick View” that we had during EA on the bottom of their Buzzport page.
@ifizzle321 I am able to see the application quick view thing. Also, are you getting the daily digest thing everyday in your email?
@CHCollege123 That’s weird, because neither me nor my friend have that. And, no, I’m not receiving those emails.
@ifizzle321 Did you consider calling Tech and finding out why you do not have it? Also, did you submit your DSF?
@CHCollege123 My problem was that I couldn’t see whether or not they received my documents. I was going to call them but I found a longer way to check my application overview (the shortcut is the ‘Application Quick View’).
Yup, I submitted the DSF about 10 days before it was due.
Guys do u think I can get in Georgia tech engineering with act-27 (act math-34,act english-26).I want to study industrial engineering here.I don’t think this major is competitive.
@Srijith97 GA Tech has the best Industrial Engineering major in the whole country. #1 in USA. It is very competitive.
@CHCollege123 I think I’ve heard that GaTech doesn’t consider majors during admission process? I’ve heard both ways for this year though…
@Srijith97 But yeah, 27 ACT is a bit below average for Tech, which had 33 ACT average and around 10% acceptance rates for Internationals. But honestly, no one knows if you’ll get in or not until March 12! Until then, good luck!
Srijith97, you may get some idea by checking the thread of GT early decision, in which you can find compare your credential to those who have been rejected.
way excited, results are coming out soon!!! I’m hoping to major in computer science.
@ChocolateCoin They do not consider majors for applications, by “competitive” I mean that they receive a large number of applications for that major (almost everyone who wants to study industrial engineering in the US from the whole world).
On the “Passport” portal, I have a notification that says “The password for this account will expire in 11 days”. Does this mean that decisions are coming out in 11 days??
@letmethink No, they require you to change your password every 30 days
