***Georgia Tech Class of 2020 Regular Decision Applicant Thread***

Do you guys think I can get in with these stats?

2280 SAT, 790 Math II, 790 Biology, 740 Physics, 790 SAT Chinese,

no. Average is 2350.

@TexanCCStudent 2350 seems a little high. The freshman profile for 2015 says 2250 is the 75th percentile:

Does the 2350 number specifically refer to international students?

I applied RD

34 ACT (35 Math; 34 English; 32 Reading; 35 Science; 36 Writing)

2130 SAT (750 Math; 680 Reading; 700 Writing)

790 Math 2; 700 Physics

14 AP Classes; 5 Dual Enrollment

3.87 UW; 7.03 W (Rank 4/437)

Solid extracurriculars, lots of leadership with some minor focus on science and math

Essays: I’d rate my essays a 7-8/10. This doesn’t mean much I guess considering this is a self evaluated rating, but I’d consider writing my biggest strong-suit, also I do well on standardized testing for writing I suppose.

I reallllly hope I get in as an OOS (FL) applicant. I have some 3rd party scholarships in place that’d make tuition doable, it’s just getting in! I’d believe I’m borderline!

@ThatGirlCoder oops you’re right. Last year decisions were released the 14th. Just got the email. 5 more days people!!!

@QuadiNorth What email are you talking about? I did not receive any emails, but the decision site says that my decision will be out March 12 @ 12 noon

Did all get a mail some days back regarding the notification date…in fact in the form of a poem??

@Grisham2020 yup, a couple of weeks ago

Wait what email? The last email I got was Feb 17 and it was their newsletter

Yeah I got the poem thing–it was about groundhog day

Hey all hopeful Techers!

I have been stalking this thread for quite some time, and as the decision day approaches I though it would be nice to take some part on it.

I applied RD with Computer Science as my intended major. I am an international student (girl) from Brazil. So far, I have been accepted to the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan. This was the first decision I have received though, and Georgia Tech will be my second this Saturday. And as most of you, obviously I have been obsessively updating all application portals and my email for the past few weeks.

What are your intended majors?

@skywalker11 On my application, I put my first choice major as Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and my second choice as Computer Science…so we might cross paths (God willing, if we both get accepted)

Electrical Engineering!

@ifizzle321 Same! I’m also chem and biomolecular engineering

@letmethink Yaaas!

Did everyone get the email about release date today? I just got an email now…

I did…
