***Georgia Tech Class of 2021 EA Applicant Thread***

Rip. I am just glad I am in state lol.

I wasn’t affected by hurricane Matthews but can I still submit early action?

@Arihlee9 No you cannot still apply EA. It is only those affected by the hurricane. With respect to the EA number of 15K applicants, that number is close to last years. I imagine this means we will see an admit rate of around 27% for EA applicants.

Hey, if any of you guys used Common App, did your transcript show up on Buzzport as available? It says it is unavailable on Buzzport, but I saw that my School Report on the Common App was downloaded by Georgia Tech!

@laviedemoi99 Don’t worry, they will get to it soon :).

@indy101 Lol, they recieved it today! XD

Just curious, what majors are y’all applying to? (I am aware Tech doesn’t admit by major)

Chemistry (Most likely going to change to ChBE if I get in). How about you?

MSE (Material Science and Engineering)

Computer Engineering

Computer Science

Anyone know the acceptance rate for out of state?

I think it’s around 20-25%. Less than for in-state.

@laviedemoi99 Industrial Engineering

Anyone in here whose status shows “International Freshman” even though you are a PR?

Keep in mind that GT accepted a few too many students in 2015, which lead to a reduction in 2016. It should be back to “normal” this year. I would think the acceptance rate will be somewhere between the 2015 and 2016 rates. In other words, a little higher than tech’s 26% rate in 2016 (unless the # of apps spikes again…).

Does anyone’s application checklist shows “Regular Freshman” in entering status if you applied early?

It is supposed to say that

Does anyone know what are the most popular majors at Tech?
