Important to note that my CA essay was absolutely atrocious. It was one my dad MADE me submit, did not represent who I was in the slightest, and one peers told me they didn’t like. I’m really happy I got in despite. I think it was my scores that got me in.
Lol I’ll do the same format you guys did:

Essays were cringe-worthy, Recs were decent (nothing special)
EC’s were not really tech-related, but I did take calc bc as a sophomore and scored a 5 (thats kinda the “best” thing I did that was related to math)
Thank god I applied early. I got accepted with a 1400 SAT and the worst essay of all time. I wouldnt have gotten in RD. Especially since I’m international.

Let me start by saying I cannot believe I got into GeorgiaTech. Seriously. My scores do not match up at all. Statistically I had no chance because of my standardized testing scores. But, somehow, I did it.
The rest of my application: I had a handful of extracurriciulars that I demonstrated dedication to and were focused in Computer Science. My supplement essays were rather poor. However, my Common App essay was wonderful. I’d like to that’s what got me acceptance. Talked about growing up in a single parent household without a father.
@3mlannon congrats, and good luck!

Honesty, I was 100% sure I would be rejected, so this came as a pleasant surprise. I think my Common App essay was the reason I got in; I showed a lot about my personality.
