@SwiftFilms Lassiter High in Marietta. A lot of students from my school applied and decisions were all over the place. A few guys were accepted. Many females were accepted. A lot of deferrals. A lot of denials. I kinda feel like I was at a disadvantage being Asian. Some white friends of mine were deferred/accepted even though they had lower gpas/test scores than I did. But it is what it is, and I’m moving on.

We’re honestly shocked! Our thinking was that Georgia Tech would be more than a reach simply because DS is homeschooled and his ECs revolve solely around employment and sports (significant time directed toward both).
For those of you dealing with disappointment today, please remember that when one door closes, another opens. So many of you are posting insane stats. I’m in awe. And, you will be accepted at other schools, one of which will be perfect for you in every way. Best of luck to all.

It is interesting that a lot of international students are denied with similar or better stats. I hope the US isn’t becoming even more insular.
