***Georgia Tech Class of 2022 EA Applicant Thread***

Where does it detail your D’s application status? Mine just shows me the checklist of everything. Nowhere does it say “application submitted or complete”.

I wouldn’t worry about it.
@roro96

The very first page “Application Management” when you login shows the application status. And then when I click on it , it takes me to the next page where the checklist is shown.

Mind sending me a link to this application management page @roro96?

I’m curious as to what you’re talking about because I only see a checklist when I login.

On this page, when I click admission portal, I just see all of my requirements are completed and test scores verified.

@AimingTop50 → Try this https://application.gatech.edu/account/login. It should open up the Application Management page when you log in

the application status is showing submitted. I guess they do not change to complete.

Hey that worked! @roro96
Lol. And, yeah, mine says submitted as well.

My friend said that she just got a decision from Georgia Tech. I’m really confused because I thought decisions would not come out until January. Did anyone else get a decision?

@nerdalert18 I haven’t heard anything from them. Is she a recruited athlete or something??

GATech sent an email about Jan 13 as the decision date.

Maybe it was something else, but yeah she’s not an athlete  @18college1111

essays are extremely important. via: ga tech professor

Are they really going to release the ea result in January? Git is my first early application but the last to release their results, which leaves me a bad impression. I mean what’s the point of ea if you release the result after the rd deadline. I’m really regretting to apply to this school now.

Yes, sadly that is the correct date. It’s been this way for years and it is very disappointing. I think their due date is so early because UGA’s date is so early. Most Georgian GT applicants also apply to UGA, so it sort of makes sense that their due dates are the same. However, UGA decisions came out a couple weeks ago, while Tech doesn’t come out for another month. There really isn’t a point of EA at Tech which is why you have to apply to other schools, other than a slightly higher admission rate.

@onionknight What does the RD have to do with anything? GT is EA right now, so no one is prevented from applying RD or EA to other schools. UF is even worse. They don’t send out decisions until Feb.

@shortnuke , one purpose of EA is that if you get in your dream school, you don’t need to send your RD application to any other school and save hundreds of dollars.

My son applied EA and has not received an email regarding January 13th decision date as some of you have mentioned. Is there a place on your status page that confirms your application as EA? I haven’t seen anything confirming this on his admissions portal or the BuzzPort admissions tab.

This is what the email said:
Students with a complete application as of December 1, 2017 will receive a decision on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at noon ET, via their admission portal.

@neuroman , the 29 math and 29 science may be a red flag; everything else looks fine.

Has anyone received an email from their office of financial aid, asking for extra copies of your parents’ w-2, and a signed proof of citizenship?
