The same… That word “Regular” was a concern to me yesterday. Thank you!
On the Admissions Portal, my son’s SAT Math and SAT Total Composite scores show in the “List of Official Test Scores Received” section at the bottom of the screen - sent in September.
Only SAT II and AP scores show in BuzzPort, no SAT I scores.

@robokid Very impressive. Looks competitive to me. My S is NMSF too. Does Ga Tech take that achievement into consideration? Anyone know?
@amyandscott I don’t think those “achievements” carry much weight. NMSF, NHS, AP Scholar awards, etc… don’t really tell schools anything more than what is already shown by SAT scores, grades, and course rigor. If a student did well in high school and is competitive for Tech they will likely be in NHS and have some sort of AP Scholar distinction. If they did well on the PSAT, as many do given the average SAT scores for Tech applicants, they are likely to have some sort of National Merit status. In fact, so many Tech students have National Merit status that Georgia Tech withdrew as a sponsor of National Merit College Sponsored Scholarships beginning in the 2014-2015 academic year. Students coming to Tech can still get corporate/College Board sponsored National Merit scholarships, but Tech no longer makes a promised scholarship available to students. https://www.finaid.gatech.edu/national-merit-and-national-achievement-scholarships
Thanks @InPursuit I know Ga Tech has lots of star kids. I received an email from the admissions office and they said they would take the NMSF/NMF status into account for admissions. My S’s backup is Auburn. They stopped their participation in the scholarship program this year. We will await their decision on Jan 13. We still don’t know how we would afford it. But I wonder what is the key to getting into Ga Tech??

When is the CSS profile due for early action applicants? My parents would like to turn it in after Jan 1, as they made far less money this year. Is this possible?

I agree. Not what this thread is intended for.
My apologies. Best
does anyone know what is the acceptance rate for international students applying for engineering? Or maybe, what’s the international acceptance rate in general?
For the people that want to be chanced…Best advice my daughter got when applying to high end schools…schools with acceptance rates lower than 25% are a reach for EVERYONE that applies. No matter what your qualifications are. If you look on the the threads from last year you will find students that were valedictorians with 36 ACT’s and 800’s on subject tests that did not get into Georgia Tech…not even waitlisted. Make sure you have a sure thing on the list of schools you apply to!
